  • Triton LT1 Electrical Problem

When I purchased the trailer all the lights worked fine and the only thing that was wrong with the trailer was the previous owners dog had chewed most of the license plate holder off.

I went today to install the new license plate bracket and I had to remove the bottom license plate light to get to the nuts and when I pulled it out one of the connectors snapped off. Everything is so corroded I cant tell what used to be there.

Is that a bulb that sits in the black boot? Or is it a quick connect style connector? I checked on HannahRV but there pics arent good enough to tell whats at the end of that boot.

The wire harness has push on bullet connectors that mate with the back of the light module. Your light has broken/corroded the pin off.

Soak the other connection with some penetrant and you should be able to work it free.

Replacement light modules are not expensive. I switched all my Triton lamps to LED but it was tricky finding a white LED module for the license plate.

The Triton trailers use a standard type of rubber mounted light, often used on big trucks and tractor trailers.
