I made one out of a older dual axle searay trailer. 25 foot boat trailer.

Basicly swapped lower brakets with upper brakets. Built longer continuous bunks, then after testing with just straps welded receiver hitch receivers vertical in frame so you can remove rear winch posts. And drive/ float on front skis. Then drop in winch and load rears. Fronts are not removable. but allows for fronts to drive on, strap bows, and then drop winch's in for rear skis to load up. once out of water, can put the pins in the rear winch post/receiver.

we used it once last year. hope to use it again, but also debated selling it ha.

pics I have on phone are after bunks made, testing how 4 big girls fit.

then did the rest of the metal work. also added center beam from tounge to first cross rail for added strength.

that looks like a great trailer. I would love to make something but in my general area its not much market for used boat trailers or pontoon trailers. at least when i have searched i couldn't find anything reasonably priced.

Thanks, The trailer happen to have new axles under it, which was odd because the boat was trash.... dropped at the dump. ha

new wiring and LEDs, a used tire, and new bunks and a few longer brackets to even out the longs and shorts ands some carpet. and turned out usefull.

Hope to get some use with friends on some random ski weekend trips.

I bet the tongue weight is very high when you get it loaded up. Can the axles be moved?

well my truck is a 2500 HD so 4 800 lbs skis and the trailer don't really matter. and the Tonge weight is not bad

the rear skis are barley on top of the rear axle and hang over the back mostly, and the front are in front of the front axle. So its nor horribly balanced.
