  • Reverse Lights for your Trailer

If you tow much at night, you already know that back up lights on the trailer would be nice.
Now, you can add them with very little cost or work.

TecNiq lights has a really neat stop/turn light (model T70) that is a direct replacement for the standard 6 inch grommet mount light found on many trailers. It requires no cutting or external mounting on the trailer.

The fixture uses an integrated ground circuit so all you have to add is a single power wire with a .157 bullet or use a standard three way plug. You will have to replace the flat 4 lead with a 7 way or flat 5. Since most tow vehicles already come from the factory with a 7 way, its a great retrofit that only requires you to run one wire on the trailer.

The center positioned white LEDs are very bright and really help with visibility behind the trailer.

Stay-Put name is molded into the product you installed, so I went with that for the brand sourcing.

My buddy did this to his boat trailer for his 38ft powerboat. He didn’t know why this wasn’t done sooner.

I did a similar upgrade to my snowmobile trailer. The addition of reverse lights is very handy! I had good luck with these lights: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Lig...STL211RCB.html . I opted for the all clear but they have red/white as well.

I have reverse lights on all my non-boat trailers and I absolutely love it. I have considered adding it to my trailer but I wanted to add the side markers so I can get stuff up out of the water since salt water is just hell on everything

They don't put out as much light as a dedicated fixture, but for an integrated light, they are impressive.
