  • MUST have trailer items in your trunk!

Hi all, in another thread I posted about changing trailer tires, I thaught it would be a good thing talking about what would be some good things to have your trunk in case a blowout were to happen. First and foremost a spare mounted tire is a must on your trailer to begin with. Having said that, being able to replace it on the side of the road is a factor we need to consider if it ever does happen.

To start off with, once you are safely parked somewhere you won't get hit by a passing vehicle, here's what you need to get the job done.
    1. Jack
    2. Torque-Wrench and Socket Kit
    3. Gloves

NOW, your suggestions are more than welcome as to what have and use. Thanks again

There is a trailer and towing forum on GH, and most towing tips are not going to be Seadoo specific.

I suggest posting towing info, tips and questions in that forum.
Lots of useful info has been posted in there.

Sea doo guys don't normally carry a lot of tools. You want to get over to the yamaha section. Those guys are always ready to break down.

That said. I carry every piece of running gear and the tools to change it. Springs, hubs, u bolts, electric impact, jack, gloves, mosquito spray, headlight, air pump, plug kit, minimum 2 spares, jack stand, ratchet straps, spare lights, locks, cables, chain, grease gun, bearing buddies. You carry an entire spare axle and spare leaf springs on your trailer?

            Never seen that before. Impressive.

I broke a spring on a sat in Destin 6 hrs from home years ago on a new to me trailer. Found a spring and changed it in a parking lot. So now I carry springs. Lost a bearing on I10 in Houston and messed up the spindle back in the two stroke days. So I went to a tandem axle trailer. Got rid of it a few yrs ago and got this aluminum single axle. So now I carry a complete axle. I can change it in under an hour.
