We did put some tires from a pontoon boat on an old trailer once but they were significantly wider. I'll get the size for those today. The ones we put on the old trailer were 205/65-10 but obviously we didn't have the stock fenders on it as these are very wide tires.

What do you guys think of this one? I think it fulfills a lot of the needs I have been wondering about.

      or this one?

I have a single Magic Tilt, and a double Triton. They both came with 175/80 R13 wheels.

Those are a lot bigger in diameter than mine. I think I would definitely have fender issues. I'm thinking my best bet is going to be this one?

I like the speed rating the other tire you had on the other post. The C rating is plenty for a single ski. My 2 cents.

Pay attention to the Load Range for the tire, it can be found on the plate or sticker on the trailer. You dont need to up the tire size to get more load capacity. But i agree with K447, maybe the axle is not squared up to the frame if tire wear is your concern

I checked and the axle is square/perpendicular. I'm wondering if the stock tires that came with it were just that much cheaper than what we all (my families 4 trailers) have on there now. I'm still going with radials next set of tires.

Ready for this? Another flat this weekend. It gets better. I told the wife, "Hey we have to stop on the way to the lake to grab a spare from dad's house (we have 2)." The wife " "Nah we got 2 cans of fix a flat we will be fine". Lucky the fix a flat worked and we made it home. She was afraid the wheels were greasy and didn't want them in the back of the new Tahoe. Lesson learned.

Fix-a-Flat tire inflator in a can goo products only patch certain types of tire failures.

Nail puncture, slow leak, that sort of thing.

Tires that fail from age (rubber embrittlement), under inflation or traumatic road insult are unlikely to be recoverable using an inflator can product.

Years ago I had a 'like new, never used' spare tire that was about seven years old. It failed suddenly and catastrophically at highway speeds. From the first moment of noticing 'something is wrong with that tire' until it was completely shredded was a few seconds.

Perhaps packing a couple of plastic tire bags (the big bags tire stores use for your old tires when you buy new and keep the old tires) would be enough to allow the dirty trailer wheel to be carried inside the SUV.

The bad part? She assumed they were dirty. 2 of them clean as a whistle! My own fault! And ya good point, fix a flat wouldn't have helped with that mess!

We are going on a 1 1/2 hour trip to a lake tomorrow. Guess how many spares I'll be bringing?

My daughter went with us and her tires are bald again. I'm like "Jesus how much do you take that out?" So her problem isn't flats but wearing them out. I think she should go with radials and that should help?

This is a different trailer that is also wearing tires rapidly?

Regarding checking for axle mis-alignment, the wheels themselves are what is used to check the alignment. Not the long section between the springs. It is not uncommon for the spindle end sections where the wheel hub attaches to become bent, perhaps from a road impact, curb hit, something.

Perhaps some photos of the tread wear would reveal the nature of the tire wear cause.

Yes different trailer with only a TRIXX on it. I'll get some pictures. Center section of the tread is worn out. I have to make sure she didn't over pressure the tires.
