  • Recommendation for trailer rear corner ÔÇ£guardsÔÇØ

Can anyone provide a link to What item you have used (or know of) and perhaps a pic or description showing ÔÇ£HowÔÇØ you have mounted something (rubber? Urethane? Polymer?) to protect hulls (or anything for that matter) from the crazy sharp rear corners on the Triton single pwc trailers?

Sustained a not-so-nice gouge splashing a ski yesterday when an idiot piloting a boat wiiiide open went through the no-wake zone right by the public ramp. (The ski had been floated off the trailer and tethered loosely to the public ramp and the trailer temporarily pulled forward enough that the rear corners were only a few inches below the surface of the water. The incoming wake pushed the ski forward and, well, major ÔÇ£Ouch!ÔÇØ

I am kicking myself as the wife reminded me of the time bleeding profusely I caught that corner with one of my legs while detailing a ski and thinking (while applying direct pressure to stop the bleeding! :-/ ÔÇ£D*mn, that aluminum corner is nuts dagger sharp, I gotta find a solution for that.ÔÇØ

I seem to remember seeing a photo here or somewhere else showing a Stolz or other Mfr ÔÇ£rollerÔÇØ wheel mounted to the rear corners but, I wasn't able to discern how they were mounted.

I have found Stoltz 3ÔÇØ or 3-1/4ÔÇØ wheels / rollers but, prices are all over the map AND I am not sure if 3ÔÇØ- or 3-1/4ÔÇØ are large enough diameter / can be mounted that close to the corners

I snagged a photo from another thread to illustrate the corners I am referring to -

Thanks in advance for any assist!!!!

    Thanks beernutz THAT’s It!

And, I didn’t realize at the time K447 actually linked to that thread when he made that post!

Ive no qualms about - and am actually LOOKING FORWARD TO - drilling whatever holes I need to in those crazy sharp corners to prevent damage to our hulls (or any other property) ever again!

It is my intent to get those rollers ordered TODAY or else this project will simply fall through another crack …

I just wish I could find a roller that was a tad larger in diameter - but, I am going to drill the hole as close to the corner as I can and still be able to get a stainless washer, NyLock nut and open end wrench up under that corner bracket brace!

    Thank You AGAIN!!!!!
