I don't think that it is that simple. If Triton had used the proper length lags, there would not have been an issue.

I just picked up a 2022 triton WC2-2 that had been bought by a guy but it never had skis on it or been put in the water. I hauled the trailer 370 miles home and one of the bunk boards had the lag bolts missing. I tried putting them back and I couldn’t tighten them. Turns out the board was rotted. On a brand new trailer. Look at this board

I replaced the lag bolts with stainless lag bolts and stainless washers. I used 1 1/2 inch lags. There’s no way they should come through a 1 1/2 inch thick board with carpet and a 1/8 inch thick aluminum bracket that the bolt goes through. I also added the second bracket to each mount location with a 7 inch bolt going through both brackets.

No way the 1.5 inch will come through.............yeah, ok. That's what this thread was about. Adding the second mount will help keep the single mount from tilting and cutting into the bunk. That was a major reason that the 1.5 inch lags pushed through the boards. I added the second mount and rebuilt mine with 1.25 lags on one side and through bolted the other side.
