    Looks great

just do like I do, have a dock line on the bow eye and then release the winch...
I`m also guessing that a heavier ski will have more resistance... I see this as no more or less slipperier than using spray on the carpeted bunks or the slipperyness as the surfix bunk glides...

Yes, the Surfix is exactly what I was referring to. The first time I put my ski up, shut the throttle and slide right back into the water.

Looks good Andy! Any chance of the chines snagging the pal nuts or channel if the ski doesn't pull up on the trailer quite so even or straight?

so far all looks good. I guess anything is possible if the ski gets crazy, but you know I dont roll that way!
there is a good finger or 2 width around the rollers/pal nuts if the rollers ride up the sides of the chines it will just follow the contour... but for the most part if you get the ski on straight from the get go, it tracks straight right up to the winch...

                      tires/wheels

Wanted a smoother ride. I was currently using 16.5 x 6.5 x 8 wheels/tire combo Load C... After looking at diff wheel/tire choices, had a discussion with some friends and came up with replacing the C load with B load 5.70 x 8`s... The B load tires are more than capable of carrying the weight with lower air pressures resulting in a more softer ride. The higher sidewall of the 5.70`s also help with this...

Now with all my other tire/wheel combos these replacement hubs never had an issue. There is plenty of clearances between the bends in the rim to hub flange. But these 5.70`s on 3.75 rims made it really close and test fitting revealed that I needed to radius the edge of the hub flange corner by 1/4. After carefully grinding down the squared corner to a smooth chamfer, everything was cleaned, prepped and painted, then the tire/wheel was installed...

This will raise the trailer by 1", but it will still be good...

now to add the ones I just removed to my personal tire/wheel warehouse...

Have you tested the ride difference since you made the tire change?

Looks like you might have enough fender clearance to flip the axle above the leaf springs, which would drop the trailer frame a few inches for easier launches.

Nodda, there is only 3 1/2 inches between the leafs and frame, and the axles is cambered, perches are welded...
no road test yet, probably not for another week yet...
