  • Toy hauler tilting double trailer

I am looking for a double pwc trailer that tilts so I can use in my toy hauler - found some old links to triton powerlifttrailers and watertoyhauler but both seem to be out of business. Anybody know of a place?

I posted a reply in your other thread.

There are a few older threads discussing possible ways to stuff two watercraft into the back opening of a toy hauler. Have you read through them?

One of the primary issues is width of the two watercraft alone.

What is the width total for your current watercraft, and how wide is the opening in your toy hauler?

Just saw this note sorry - my jets skis are 46.5" wide and I need to confirm but I think it's somewhere around 90" wide but I will confirm that tomorrow . My unit is not stored at my home.

Is that 88" the actual door opening or the width wall to wall inside?

So even with zero side to side clearance the two hulls will not fit in the available width.

Other than a fancy tilting and overlapping double trailer, another possibility is to rig up a lift so one of the hulls is elevated above the other. It may be possible to alter an existing trailer to provide some sort of lift mechanism, but of course there would be engineering and fabrication costs involved.

Or perhaps a davit/crane system to hoist each hull into the back of the toy hauler, and onto raised storage racks.

Different height carts would also work possibly.

Tech One in Lake Havasu City has a trailer that is exactly what you are looking for.

both racks are on hydraulics to tilt skis to get them into a single car garage.

I'm working on the same puzzle. I was told yesterday by a saleswomen that a Heartland Cyclone is 8' (96") but I think the door is narrower and my SeaDoos are 48.5" wide each which puts me at least 1" over. I'm thinking two aqua tracks 4-play beach carts, one with the balloon tires, the other with the standard tires so they will overlap.

Whats the weight limit of the toy hauler? Even if you could stuff two in there with the hydraulic lift trailer it would add a lot of weight back there I'd imagine.

Does anyone have any pictures of what they've done. I mean my SeaDoo GTI's are 790 lbs (minus gas) which I would assume a toy hauler can handle 1500 lbs of weight. I'm sure with some extra carts (sand dolly and carts).

I really don't want to buy a motorhome to tow my SeaDoo's and I don't have a large enough truck to double tow.
