I had what was supposed to be a spare tire carrier bracket set up for my trailer. It never fit and I threw it in my scrap bin. While I was fabricating a new axle I figure I would give it some attention and get it to work. First pic is literally junk that I used to make this thing. All welds TIG welded with a Miller dynasty 300DX machine.. I just have to finish my plates that will incorporate a lock.

Tip: Rather than clamp the tire itself against the frame and potentially deform the tire sidewall over time.
Insert a six inch diameter (or whatever size works for your wheel) plastic drain pipe section between the wheel hub and trailer frame. Clamp holds the wheel tight and the rubber sidewall is not under pressure. -
