The loc tite is epoxy i used to fill in the hollow space in my transom plate.

I used 3m 5200 slow cure to seal the transom plate to the hull.

Hmmm, I will need to have a look at mine next time I'm in there doing prop work which may be pretty soon.

What about alignment of the transom plate when you go to bolt it back on the ski. Is it just a simple as that or does it requiere some sort of special alignment?

There's alignment tabs on the transom plate. It's real easy to install in the correct position when you go back together with it.

Ah, easy enough then. Is that transom plate pretty hard to get loose from the hull though???

Use a razor blade to scrape the bulk of it off and then use some solvent on a scouring pad to clean it up good.

Jerry, was your grate/shoe fit with the transom plate this far off? Good thing I have some extra grinding wheels for my dremel.

Far from done with the grate, but no more chipping powdercoat for me.

Mine wasn't quite that far off but it was off. This is why truing everything up is so important.

Don't waste your time with those little dremel sanding wheels.

Get some of these to put in your drill
