bunks will go on Saturday than the ski will go on. Built it lower to make working on the motor easier.

CDW78 did a great job. We'll be making a video on building something vaguely similar in a few months. The only suggestion I have is make sure the bunks are exactly the same height as your trailer bunks. That'll make it a lot easier to get it on and off. Also, get very heavy duty castors. Mine are rated at 2,000 each. It's the third set I bought -the other 2 sets were supposed to be sufficient, but weren't. Also, make sure all 4 castors swivel. Good luck.Comment

How to make jet ski stand
I like my stand lower then my trailer. Makes it easier to work on the ski. And it's not much trouble at all to load and unload on and off the trailer.1997 Yahama GP1200- 61.7 mph(GPS)

We needed a stand in a pinch, and though there's no shortage of approaches (and I'm tooled-up), I happened to have a pile of scrap ~36" 2x4s that I wanted to use up (using square steel tubing would have required time+money), so this looked like a perfect design to bang together in a few hours. A couple of comments, though, for those who might come across it later.
First, I have no idea why those goofy little trapezoids. I think they're supposed to go between the Xs, but it's not clear from the photo, and they just don't fit properly - you need to cut some diamonds to go in there. More serious, though, is that while this is certainly strong-breeze-proof, "Bomb Proof" it ain't, because it's well-braced in only two of three dimensions - a hard shove fore or aft and the three verticals will fall over like dominoes. So I added diagonal braces on the longitudinal axis as well.
Other than that, great little starting point for a stand, and bonus that the height (without casters) is exactly the same as our trailer - important because until the 30' long yard gantry I'm working on (for swapping the Sea-Doos and TriFoiler on and off the trailer) is done, we're stuck having to slide the skis between the trailer and the stand.Last edited by unfair; 07-28-2022, 08:55 PM.Hobie/Ketterman TriFoiler #23 "Unfair Advantage"

I just got to log in and say that I come back to this post every couple years and build one of these stands haha.... but then they are too clunky to leave around the garage so I sell them. And now I need to install a new Mota intercooler into my GPRXP so I need to leave the ski in the garage off the double trailer cause there is going to be a lot of custom fiberglassing of brackets and stuff since the Mota is so dang heavy. Time to go get some 2x4's and make another.
