I am wondering if synthetic oil helps cause clutch failure. Well it seems all the 2012 with the first upgrade on the clutch now chomp the teeth. And of course the guy rode it for couple hours after, then rode it to my shop.So I found 3 teeth missing off of the intermediate gear and clutch gear is completely rounded off. I'm hoping it can all be found in oil pan, but I'm worried about the smaller pieces and or shavings from clutch gear.I hope their is good screen on oil pump and none found its way into oiling system, Will update later This is a great thread Thanks!!!!

How to change a supercharger clutch explained

So, my supercharger clutch died. Have pulled it off and ordered the updated clutch. Noted that it requires a new 57 tooth gear as well. The original gear has 50 teeth. My question is: Does the supercharger drive gear also need replaced? It runs off the new 57 tooth gear and drives the supercharger wheel.

How is it that my 2013 oil pump has 13 bolts? Every piece of information says there are 12. But I have removed 11 and have two left, both have been loosened but won't come out as they bind on the oil pump housing. Something isn't right here, am I removing an accessory from the front of the housing? I can find any clear pictures of the actual face showing the error of my ways. These are all the 5mm hex head bolts, so I have not accidentally included a regular bolt in my count. Help please.

Thanks that picture would have helped. I got it out now. I did figure out that I was removing something else under the engine as the two 5mm hex heads had washers which the other 12 do not. Now figure out what parts I need to order.
