My hull was full of oil pouring out around where the o-rings go. Just a word of advise...its not like they cost anything...may save you a couple bucks but I would do just as Yamaha suggests.

I wanted to point this out again as a word of advice. I actually did buy and replace the o-rings, but on installation got one of them pinched somehow. Got everything back together, filled up the engine with oil, and just happened to reach under the supercharger for a second and found all the oil i had just been pouring into the engine leaked out into the hull. Tore everything back apart after seeing where it was leaking, and found one of the o-rings had pinched and torn partially. $4 in parts and a little bit of care with these goes a long way toward keeping the oil where it belongs.
