  • Pressure Testing Triples

For any of you guys putting on used triples I recommend you test them before you install them.Check out the vid clip below of my backyard pressure test job.

The seller told me before the purchase that he did a fast test on them.

This is what I found on the ones I got.
mag pipe good, center pipe good, pto pipe bad leak!

Seller said he didn't know they were leaking, I believe him.
He offered to pay for warranty shipping, which I thought was cool.

The pto pipe was sent to Factory Pipe Products on Monday. Wonder if Factory Pipe will warranty fix or replace this bad pipe?

so just blockoff 2 fittings, then the other one hook up a tube and put pressure through that one?

What should the pipe hold? 10lb for how long?

also allcool, what are you using to put pressure in those pipes? That bottle thing.. looks pretty cool??

dont blockoff anything, just turn the pisser fitting around so it faces the other threaded fitting and connect those with hose,, this will close the loop,,,,, and the water inlet fitting is where you fiil it up with your pressure tester ....... 10lbs for 5/10min.... is good,,,, it shouldnt leak at all....

Just curious did Factory pay for the repairs or did you?

and what's that tank hook to the a/c manifold set? Nitrogen? I use them at work to find a/c leaks on tractor trailors. and how much did you get your pipes for? I'm looking at a set and wondering if it's a good price.

                      Thanks

Would this also work with a hand pump and gauge instead of a pressurized tank? Like a radiator coolant tester, and removing the radiator adapter and putting a clamp?
