If you can, I would highly recommend it. Much easier to adjust once you get back out on the water.

    • Anyone know what size jet to use for a 1997 gtx 787? I buggered one of my carbs cleanimg the return orfice and have no choice but to do this mod now.

I just noticed that all three carbs in this setup are connected to pulse and have fuel pumps. Does that mean I'm sol for my setup? Only my mag side has a pump and connects to pulse. I only drilled the one carb out that needed it but I'd like to run this mod if possible. How would I go about getting pulse to both carbs. I can easily buy another carb with a pump but I imagine I can't simply split the pulse line into both carbs.

        • You can definitely make it work, but nobody in this thread is real familiar with that ski. So you'll kind of need to look at it and teach yourself.
So you have one pump on one carb and the other carb doesn't have a pump? Seems like you'll do the mod the same way, with some sort of restriction in the return. You'll need a temporary tee fitting and fuel pressure gauge to dial in the correct size restriction.
But the point of the mod is different in these skis we are talking about. I don't think you'll see much benefit
