Riva power filter kit.
17.5 hours.
200lb rider
Half tank of gas
65mph trimmed up halfway.
Also picked up what looks to be around 200-300rpm if I had to guess.

Low end and mid range is absolutely absurd now... Love it!

Man, it woke my VXR up. The throttle response and acceleration is out of this world compared to stock. I just turned 19.5 hours. I've heard that around 25 or so it should be completely turned loose. I hit 66mph this morning with the outside temp around 60 degrees. Found the rev limiter also. Haha. Guess it was the air temp and new filter sucking it down. It was running like a beast. I'm really impressed. Normal RPM range is around 7400-7500.

That is really pricey, I installed the ribbon delete in about 30 mins, but I'm a certified mechanic. If your not comfortable doing the mods yourself I would recommend to let dealer do it. Maybe someone from this site that lives close to you can help you with it.

Absolutely outrageous. Do not pay that. At most, you should be charged .5 to 1 hour labor at no more than probably 50-100 bucks total. It is really easy to do if you know what you're doing. Took me a while the first time but I could now do the RD and filter in 30-45 minutes, which means a dealer can do it in 15.

Ribbon delete is the hardest part. Filter takes 5 minutes.

Intake grate and cut plate will gain you nice mph on VXR/VXS on stock tune. Also the R&D sho pump cone adds a little mph.

Anyone other than dukenyc seeing a slow down of speeds after modding? He contends that modding the VXRs makes them slower. Anyone else seeing that?

I have been see that same on my ski. 2015 VXR E3 reflash and skat 12/16 and only able to turn 7-7500 RPM's.I GPS"s it at 60MPH today.
I have had them set the rev limited to 8300 RPM's. The exhaust is stock. Ribbon is removed, I went back to the stock intake and air filter.
Any help I would appreciate.

I did my delete myself in like 10 minutes , Cost 35 for the Delete part from Riva the Directions are plain simple.
I understand you might want it done at a shop , But really if you have the mechanical knowledge to do it its fsr worth DIY.
300 plus is a strait rip off

Sorry for the potential dumb question... I have seen posts mentioning the dealer installing some mods.

If a dealer installs something for you does it keep the warranty in tact?

Or am I wrong in thinking that mods will automatically void the warranty?

On the verge of buying a VXS/R and the only mod I would be interested in is possibly the ride plate, air intake, and ribbon delete. Items for a smoother and more efficient ride.
