-Rotax 16 Vein race pump - By Far the best pump ive used for holeshot and CC racing. Only 1-2MPH slower than stock but will destroy a stock pump around bouys. (same as this one) Includes drive shaft for stock VXR - just drops straight in. I also have added a second cooling line. Was about 4k USD i think from memory - with props about 5k. Accept responsible offers.

-Skat Custom props x 2 (short and long blade)
    -Riva adjustable Cam gears
    -Stock VXR ECU

2017 VXR with R&D performance kit (intake grate, Solas 13/19, air filter, reflash, sponsons) and riva ribbondelete mod. Took it out on Lake Mead and had a good amount of holeshot cavitation. Strong mid range, but only hit 62.9. 1/4 tank of gas and smooth conditions, but not glass.

Prop looks good, but the nozzle was off at a noticeable angle (noticed by a friend, I guess my time on my old Kawi 300 tainted my perception on that).

So last year without the ribbon delete and intake grate it was 65mph with very little cavitation if any. . I'm pretty sure I did a poor job installing the intake grate / stock ride plate.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have a 2015 VXR. I just installed the Riva Ride Plate, I was amazed with the results. I always ride with my 8 year old son he sits on the front I sit behind him. Prior to the ride plate fastest top speed I have recorded was 62MPH, today I hit 67MPH with the Rive ride plate installed. Unbelievable.

This is going off the of the speedometer however, thinking about trying a GPS app next time out.

I think the 2 degree wedge will make a good difference across the board.
I made a manual set it once trim with the gpr nozzle. It was ok lol

That way I could use a metal nozzle

on my old '08 kawi 15F, the pump wedge made a difference. even though the stx-f hull rides alot flatter than my 2015 VXR.
i have 12 hours on my VXR and my initial GPS was close to my 15's, but i guarantee my 15f was faster with its 1.5 motor and rpm kit from riva. Not knocking the VXR, i like alot of the features that my 15f didnt have, but i thought it was going to be faster and i can tell you from riding for the past 25 years, that it is not faster.
i am going to drop in the riva filter and ribbon delete and post my speeds before and after.

I ordered a 3.5 in dia. alum. pipe length 12 inches off of amazon for $20 and cut the hose off coming out off the resonator and inserted the pipe in one end and the other end i stuck in the hose coming from the pump and double hose clamped everything, i add an extra hose clamp to the factory clamps on my ski"s anyway atleast on all the exhaust hoses.

How did you do your DIY exhaust. What piping did you use? Clamps and where did you buy they parts from?

He charges $295 to cut your plate , Turn around time is about 5 to 7 days from the time you ship it till you get it back. i gained 2 mph with Jims cut.

Thanks for the info. How much does the ride plate cutting cost? And how long does it take to send it out and get it back?

Dump the the stock air box and add a K&N pod air filter right at the throttle body and add a small oil breather and have Jim do a speed cut on your ride plate.

Yes, on smooth water I would say your speed is slow.

62 on GPS today in smooth water with the ribbon delete is better but I would have guessed that it would be faster than that. Maybe some more owners of 2015-2017 VXRs can chime in with their thoughts.

Took the ski out this evening. Water was flat with the ribbon delete 2 bars of gas I am 180lbs fully crouched down weight back 85 degrees I only got it to 62mph on gps. I still feel like it should be faster. It has 19 hours on it. I had the 10hr service done and it did not help. It’s still showing I’m only turning 7200 maybe 7250 RPMs. Again completly stock other than ribbon delete on a 2017 vxr. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

That is in basically smooth water. Not glass but not rough by any means. I would compare it to an average day at a small lake if that makes sense.
