  • Cat temp block off

For those of you who dont use the exhaust temp sensor and have installed the chip, a 12mm X 1.25 oil drain will fit right in there. You can get them at your local auto parts store and they usually come with a sealing gasket.

Another option is to just pull the wire and probe part out of the bung and weld the hole shut and screw the bung back in. Thats what I did, it works great. Three years and no problems.

                    Thats a good question.

I know it adjusts for cyl temps, but not sure about exhaust temps.

I had my d plate and new RIVA filter installed and I was told that I do not have to modify the chip...

Took it out for 5 minutes and the heat light started to beep..... Took it back to the shop and was told that it was a faulty sensor which is very costly...

Have been reading all the forums the chip is a must ..please advise

I was out this weekend, and my exhaust temp warning light began to beep at me. So I returned to the dock allowed the system to cool, and ran again. It again went off. So, I have been trying to do as much research about this issue as possible. And think that I have come to the conclusion I need to purchase a D plate and the bypass chip for the computer. How hard of an install is this? Any other information or help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

anyone know if we could use the temp probe to measure exhaust temps via a multimeter ? (once we have removed the cat)

Like a budget temp reader which could help us to tune ?
