I don't think no wake mode or cruise assist will work with a vxr reflash. You might want to check on that.

So $1000 for 3mph? Meh. Think I'll keep mine stock.

He did say that the program really needs the Prop to be done first or in conjunction with the reflash and he recommended the R&D Skat Trak 12/19 impeller. He said that the typical gains from doing these two mods are 3-4 MPH with much better acceleration. I know what is going to be in the future for my ski
I'd like to see what these mods do for you also. My FX-HO is bone stock and runs about 64~66 with a 1/4 tank of gas but my neighbor's RXT215 Seadoo has just a little more top end than mine. I like that my FX-HO uses a whole lot less fuel than that Seadoo (his has a supercharger) but all I need is a little more top end and I will be just as fast, if not slightly faster.

Well I got out for the first time of the year. I added the ride plate during the off season.

Speed @ RPM: 67.11@approx 7750 RPM (On the limiter)
          Year/Model: 2009 FX HO Cruiser
          Name/Weight: Jobu 175lbs
          Air Temp: 70ish
          Altitude: 575'
          Fuel Level: 1/2 tank
Mods: Mirrors removed, Ribbon Delete, DIY Air Filter, Riva Ride Plate

Here's a couple minute video. You can see the speed go up a few tenths of a mph and drop a few tenths over and over. I'm guessing thats me bouncing off the limiter.

Jobu, what is your net increase in top speed from those mods. Was that speedo from a GPS?

The best speed I got stock GPS was 64.88. That was with a bit less weight than I was running yesterday. That speed on the video is from the cameras GPS unit. My phones GPS was within .02 of the camera for top speed. If I mess around with shimming the plate and running with less weight I think I can get a little bit more out of it without a reflash.

63~64 MPH is similar to what I get on my 2015 stocker. I'm not sure I want to put a new ride plate on it. Have you run it with just the intake mods? If, so what did you get from that?

Ribbon delete and air filter got me right around 1.1 mph. It looked like I was hitting the limiter with just those mods too though.

Also, the air filter I'm running is pretty small. I had it lying around so I went with it. A larger one might get you a little better result. No point in trying until I repitch the impeller or reflash though.

This is a great conversation because I am learning a lot from your experience before I tackle this on my own. I am not hitting the rev limiter, so I know my FX has a little more headroom for speed. You mentioned you had a small air filter. It looks like I can get a K&N full size filter that replaces the stock filter and fits in the stock filter body/canister. So if I decide to do the intake mods with the ribbon delete, can I use the stock filter body with the full size K&N filter? I guess I don't understand the advantage or requirement of deleting the stock filter canister, replacing it with a tube and a little cone shaped filter. Is there some flame arrestor value in the tube + cone filter? (I am not confusing this with the crankcase filter and tube replacement, that's a separate mod).

The inlet to the stock air box is pretty small. It looks like the biggest restriction in the intake besides the ribbon. That's why most people run an open cone filter.

Try a run with the stock filter element out, all i have done to my wifes 2013 ho is ribbon delete, crankcase filter, and with filter element out it just touchs the limiter. Winter air temps here tho.
