I'm getting ready to do this Mod..my question is why couldn't you splice into the the water line coming into the hull from the pump feeding the engine and and run a line to the flow control valve instead of drilling and tapping the cover plate on the pump?

honestly... not really. If you have a overheat warning buzzer going off you have something wrong

Ski tends to get hot and the warning goes off if held at WOT for to long in summer here in australia. thanks

mostly because of a clearance issue with the speedo... especially when running an aftermarket ride plate

I did that on mine and sealed it up with some pipe thread sealant and for a year now. it's been good so far but there's not much meat to grab on the plate for the elbow because of the support ridges.

I reread Hydrotoys write up and answered my question about tapping the original temp sensor hole. But, still wondering about the other hole. There is no purpose for drilling the hole in the raised boss other than relocating the temp sensor (which I'm getting rid of) right?

When I put the D plate in I am going to install the chip eliminating the need for the temp sensor. So, that will keep me from drilling another hole in the water jacket. Correct? And like someone asked earlier in the thread. Do I need to drill the hole out that the temp sensor was in before I tap it for the barb fitting? Since it is already tapped for the temp sensor?

Bill why won't it work with the s3 stinger, but works with stock s2 and triples?

doesnt matter what pipe or pipes. its job is to keep water from filling the water box full of water. if you have a rec ski dont bother
