GP1800 SVHO - removing the stock Yamaha impeller

- put anti-seize or something similar on the shaft threads before you put on the new impeller?

Also, the SM says to use Yamaha WR- No.2 grease on the shaft splines, that shit is near impossible to find-any idea on alternatives? Does It even need It? Do you glob It on or light brush/coating?

I applied anti-seize to both surfaces of the thin washer before installing into the jet pump. Assemble the dual washers and install with rounded face down into the stator hub.

I also applied anti-seize to the threads on drive shaft where the impeller will tighten.

I probably used Amsoil Waterproof Marine grease on the shaft splines.
Medium coating over all the splines and grooves.

A huge glob of grease is mostly going to get pushed away when the driveshaft slides into the mating splines inside the mid-shaft housing.
