Can you explain what all it is capable of? Just reading diagnostics? Or can you see tps voltage, water temp, rpm's, ect?

All Four Stroke Yamaha engines 115 hp and above (F115,F150,F200,and the F225,) including Yamaha Watercraft (jetski's)

The kits will not work on any Yamaha OX66 fuel injected engine or any Yamaha carbed engine.

The software is simple to use. All you need is laptop or pc with any version of Windows (except Windows 95), one open USB port and a CD\\DVD drive to install the software.

The kit comes with the Diagnostic software on CD, a USB cable to connect the laptop to the engine, a data converter module and an instruction booklet. The data converter module is a small black box that is wired into the USB wire connecting to the engine. The cable is long enough for the laptop to reach most helms stations while under way. The instruction booklet is very easy to understand and very detailed.

I have confirmed with Yamaha and I am authorized to offer these to Yamaha customers. You can not really change anything on the engine by using the software.

You can check numerous sensors, view and clear trouble codes, perform running cylinder drop tests, rpm history, maximum and minimum sensor values, engine max speed, fuel pressure, over rev control history, overheat control history.... just to name a few things.

You can read the datastream, but not fuel pressure.

Any screen shots of this in use, cause i would rather get this than an a tach.

I have similar software for my cars, nothing like driving with a diagnostic computer hooked up.

Does anyone know the part number for the lastest release of the software for the cable? The old one was [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']LIT-YDIS1-23-00. Have to have this as well to get diagnostic information.[/FONT]

Does anyone here actually use this software and know about it? I have been contemplating buying it for some time now and would like to know how if its as useful as it looks.

its great for troubleshooting a "running" engine.

It offers passive tests such as igniting different coils, setting off injectors one at a time...and also setting TPS to a "0.00" which is very beneficial after changing cables or tb's for that matter. While running it shows which alarms you have, what voltages/ohms are happening etc. Again I find it mostly useful for a machine that is physically running...

its neat I suppose...but i do not feel it justifies the cost. If I could do it all over again I'd save my money and continue diagnosing the problems on my own. However I do have to say im biased because I have 2 stroke machines which there can only be a few problems with.

Same part # , but just the cable and interface box.

Is the software sold seperate or was I shorted ?

Trying to chase down a miss in my engine, and as always Im only
