what is the plug for that is up front directly under the ECU?

It plugs into where your guage cluster normally plugs into... You have to unplug the guage cluster and plug in the black box... What do you mean record mode? The old software has a data log/graph function too... You have copies of software or the real yamaha discs? Id be interested if it is...
