If the dealers are not actually doing this service interval check, how are they making money from it?

They are probably pushing customers to do it.... Just because I have never heard of a dealer performing this service doesn't mean it's not happening. There's a lot of clueless people out there that don't know better and dealers are taking advantage of them.... these are the same guys paying $350 for oil changes at their dealer!

Hi, a question about maintenance valve clearance (my first post here)

I have a 2019 FX svho have run 78,6 hour and my question is about valve clearance.
Yamaha manual says check 2 year or 200hours whichever comes first.
        Service manual says cold engine:
        Valve clearance Intake: 0,0055-0,0091 in.
        I measure: intake: 0,0070. 0,0074. 0,0070. 0,0074.
        Valve clearance Exhaust 0,0142-0,0177 in.
        I measure: Exhaust: 0,0161. 0,0185. 0,0165. 0,0208. Biggest difference 0,0031.
I think this is a very small difference that not something that needs to be adjusted right now,
I can check in another 50 hours.
When adjusting you need to remove camshaft, to change shim. // Thanks
