For the life of me, I could not get the sending unit to budge. I could rotate it a little here and there, but could not find anyway to get any leverage to pull the unit out. VERY STUCK. Any tips on how to get it moving? Do the fuel lines need to be disconnected first? I didn't want to pull too hard on the metal of the fuel lines. -
Picture 2 shows Kevin unscrewing the #2 philips head screw.
Picture 3, 4, and 5 show the screen and the flapper door
Picture 6 shows Kevin putting the screen back in without the flapper door!
Picture 7 shows putting the screw back in
Picture 8 shows the piece you throw in the garbage!!!!
WTF Kale!! I even got my 16 year old daughter to look at the pics before i responded to see if she understood, thinking it might be a teenager thing. She said she was blonde not retarded!!Leave a comment:

I recently had a bog issue while running WOT & I changed both the fuel petcock switch & removed the door.
The door seems perfect. not warped, etc & the reserve line was good, about 1/2" up from bottom of tube.
Well, it was either the door(which seemed fine), the fuel petcock(which was sticky but blew out fine) or the fuel filter(30hrs & really clean, blew through fine).. but the issue disappeared.
Remove the door, inspect the lines, add 'clunker' filters if desired. It's easy, free & can't hurt.
I had no issues removing the pick up in my XLT 1200. a bit tight, but not as hard as some ppl posted(stepping on tanks, etc)Leave a comment:

On yours was the flap just removed and the reserve trimmed up a little or did you do the extended fuel lines with the filter/clunkers on the ends ?

Should this be done on my 1200 XL limited ? As preventative maintenance ?
Thanks.Leave a comment:

Does this apply to 2006 GP1300R? Sorry this is the first time I'm messing with EFI. I installed a R&D air filter. I'm getting bogging on the low and mid, slowly picks up speed. I have a Riva contoller I had not installed yet.Leave a comment:

I plan to do this mod later today. Does any local stores/autoparts store have the clunker and hose in stock?Leave a comment:
