DO NOT APPLY TOO MUCH FORCE TO THE T HANDLES OR USE ANY TOOLS, To close the t's just do it lightly by hand and whenever it bottoms out consider them closed. If damaged consider the damage irreversible

any tips on getting to the T handle on #3 on a single pipe?

my arms are a bit too big or is submitting yourself to a rather painful arm shove the only way to get to it?

Cut a hole with a hole saw in the lower catalytic converter bracket, that will allow you to see the T handle from above. I noticed that some guys have used a longer bit of fuel line between carbs, so it can have a hump in the middle that lets the T handle show thru easier. You can take a long skinny screwdriver thru the hole and turn your T handle, or I've been thinking of using a alum tubing with a slot cut in end to turn T.

I also took my t handle out, then used a center punch to put a dimple on the t handle by one side of the pin going thru it(so you know which end is which), then screwed it in all the way, and put a matching dimple on the carb body. Then I put a spot of white paint in each dimple(and painted that half of the t pin). That is then your home position, and a reference point you can have to know if you are 3/4 turn out or 1-1/4 turn out.

#3 is easy, just reach down and turn by hand. #2 is the tough one, you need the hole in the exhaust bracket to be able to see it.

Some very good info here. First thing i've found that actually tells me what pop-off pressure is.

Sounds very complicated, as well. Maybe that's the wrong word.... it sounds like a giant pain in the ass.

So, to go through and check everything on the carb, doing it right, how many times do you have to pull the pipe, pull the flame arrestors, pull the carbs and disassemble them? jet changes, pop off changes, adjustor changes, sounds like it would take a solid 40 hour week just to adjust a set of carbs properly.

Sounds like it's worth buying an EFI ski!

Not at all I get it right the first time by following the info in this thread and a few others. The settings are known for most skis and circumstances and is published. It is as simple as installing the correct proven recipe.
