Replacing steering cable stopper assembly

2019 FX HO waverunner.

Has anyone replaced their steering cable stopper?
Will removing the bolt just below the cable stopper arm allow me to remove the stopper arm?
want some info before attempting the job.

What are you calling the ‘stopper arm?

Are you asking about the stubby arm at the bottom of the steering column, that operates the steering cable end?

Yes. It’s a plastic arm that the steering cable attaches to.
