in order for your start/stop switch to work on aftermarket bars, you have to drill the nub off that is located on the inside which you see here:

now you can put it into place and lightly torque it so that its still moveable when sliding the trim system back on to be bolted down.

after applying grease - you can slide the trim on (grease underneith the trim, not on the plastic where the griplock goes)

now torque everything down including your bars to the boat, the start/stop switch and also the long bolt that runs through the bars inside the trim.
your now ready to put your grip on - but use some good grip lock first.

damn man why didnt you do this like a week ago it would of taken me 3 hours instead it took me 2 days..wut can i say newbie to this..but i did everything like you explained..except dont know wut glue to use for the grips..thanks john..

use your standard griplock or whatever is teh cheapest - you should be fine David. You can get it at any auto parts store or even Wal Mart / Target.
