  • How to ship carbs

I have lots of customers ship me carbs for repair. The last set that came I must say was packaged so unique, I had to share it. I will say this everything arrived as shipped

I have a system I use to ship, I use an 8x8x19 box and foam padding. I have shipped countless sets and never ever had an issue or complaint.
    • On stock carbs I always zip-tie the chokes closed to protect them,
    • I also cap the fuel inlet and outlet lines.
    • I then wrap them in shrink wrap or bag them.
    • I always ensure there is little to no fuel left in the carbs, I have had customers ship carbs and they were returned to them by the shipping company due to fuel leakage or smell.

      Improperly shipped

Here is a few examples of improperly shipped carbs. The most common issue I have seen is broken accelerator pumps, followed by bent choke plates, then bent linkage.
