2019 VX Cruiser HO - Weird accel and other itssue...

I have a 2019 VX-C High Output with RiDe.

Yesterday was its first time out from storage, it was having a hard time accelerating. Like it was sucking up air at start once it got going it ran no issues. Figured it was the gas. Got new gas in it now and its still a little sluggest but better.

Also Noticed it ramps up the RPMS pretty quick to about 8k till it starts relying taking off. Then it starts to drop. Any Idea?

thinking Impeller but just wondering if anyone else has dealt with something like this. The Impeller looks good better then some of my others that are not having any issues.

2nd and nice one... I had a rental and the people claim the FWD and REV work but the Neutral does not? This is with Ride , not sure how this is possible but once i get it back i should have more info. Once again just seeing if anyone ever had this happen to them.

Your described symptoms sound like jet pump ventilation. The factory sealant on the transom plate is known to fail and allow air to be drawn into the jet pump water inflow. Which greatly reduces thrust.

Other possibilities include a loose ride plate, loose intake grate. Inspect under the hull in the area where the intake grate meets the ride plate. That area needs to be air sealed against the transom plate bottom edge, which is directly above the join.

After that, potentially a driveshaft seal. But first investigate the things listed above.

Tip: Any time engine/power issues are even suspected, install a new set of spark plugs. Not expensive and often solves problems.

Right out of Storage. Fresh gas made it better. Was it fogged before storage? Try a set of new plugs, then take her out and drive it like you stole it !

The gate motor went bad and and this reverse gate was down by default. Once started to go fast it would get pushed up.. anyhow it was a pretty easy change to change reverse motor

So this watercraft was rented out and the riders returned it with RiDE not working correctly?

Yes and No, Not sure why the ride motor quit working, if it was just its time, or if the renter did something.
