  • Expected Delivery on 2022 Models

I know that with COVID and everything, that everything is tentative and can change. I was just wondering if any of you heard when dealers are starting to expect to get their 2022 models in? Thanks.

Every powersport forum has this topic, I'm waiting for a Yamaha 2022 sled (sidewinder). The question is do you sell the old powersport item before touching new item? And does this affect old item price?

There are other returning models for 2022. Might as well consider them!

The rest of Yamaha’s lineup includes one returning 600-class trail runner, an assortment of utility crossovers and two fun youth sleds. The SRViper L-TX GT trail sled is powered by Yamaha’s 1049cc, naturally aspirated triple that makes about 130 horsepower. It gets new dual-rate springs for improved cornering performance for 2022.

Returning Yamaha-built machines are the affordable utility-focused VK540 with a two-stroke engine plus the utility/touring VK Professional II and unique RS Venture TF with Yamaha’s 1049cc four-stroke triple. On the most entry-level possible, the diminutive SRX120R gets new machined suspension rails and updated torsion springs for 2022, while its big brother the Snoscoot is unchanged.

Somehow this thread went from watercraft to winter sports. Of course people in the Northeast will get there Snow Mobiles, unless orders supersede production. ( Possibility) ? Obviously, they don’t get shipped down south. When I ordered a 21 GP1800 back in December of 20 I was promised delivery, only to a call in June saying NFW. The dealer in NH managed to get me a 21 VXL after someone passed it up, and apron delivery the salesman told me the orders of winter craft are though the roof ( in June ). So roll the dice and hope for the best. Would I sell my current machine, knowing my order will arrive. ???

I was told by my salesman possibly November. I'm not the only one in my area (South Jersey) that was told could arrive in November and he is dealing with another dealer. Now my salesman also said that his yamaha rep told him NOVEMBER. His rep also said yamaha is trying to make things right because of last year. Then my salesman said take it with a grain of salt, but anything is possible. At the very least should 100% be ready for next season!

November delivery in New Jersey? I highly doubt that. Locations with warm weather will get them first. It would make no sense for manufacturers to be sending units to frozen places while those who can actually ride have to wait.

I ordered a new ski for '22 and I don't expect mine until April at the earliest.

BRP is having a problem getting chips for their electronics, just like every other OEM, they are shipping snowmobiles to the dealers without dashes and say the dashes will be there some time. Don't hold your breath.

I ordered a 22 VX limited HO on 10/12/21 and it got cancelled 4/21/22 and my friend who ordered a GP1800 HO still does not have a ship date. I called Yamaha about my limited HO and she did tell me they had supply chain issues so no more limited ski in any class, ex, vx, or fx will be made. Crazy times we are going thru.
My dealer did get me VX cruiser HO on 5/2 so I'm happy. He did tell me Yamaha is having staffing problems at the factory.
