Since my new turbo build is basically a ground up redo of my old supercharged FZR I figured I would start a new thread showing what I'm doing with the ski.
I've redone everything from appearance to the engine.
The first step was having the blue hull painted black. Lot's of prep work went into it. The final results are amazing. The paint came out beautiful. I'm almost scared to put it in the water now, it's that pretty.

I ditched the stock hood and seat in favor of light weight carbon fiber. Phoenix Fab in Lake Havasu did this work for me. I can't say enough about the quality of what he's done. If you are looking for custom carbon fiber work he's definitely your guy.

Jettrim hooked me up with the seat cover and custom greenhulk.net embroidery

I contacted exoticsigns.com to have them do the Riva graphics package for me in the "Green Hulk" theme

For improved handling and looks I went with the Macc Racing sponsons

All these good looks have to have plenty of muscle behind it so for the engine build up I entrusted Riva to handle the job for me.
They sent me the following pics of the build up of my engine.
This picture shows the RIVA/Darton Pro-Series Cylinder Sleeves installed. Note interlocking 'flats' where sleeves meet.

This pic shows the Precision boring at RIVA's Machine Shop where they utilize a 'custom deck plate' to ensure bore alignment.

Getting ready to assemble

RIVA Pro-Series Pistons (86mm/8.6:1) and RIVA/Carrillo Connecting Rods.

Assembled block ready for cylinder head installation. Yellow markings indicate piston order, direction and ring gap locations

RIVA High Performance Valves installed.

Assembled cylinder head showing the soon to be released Riva Billet camshafts. These cams have an oil hole in each cam lobe which provide for better oiling which prevents lifter buckets from wiping out under sustained high RPM use. Riva valve train upgrade kit is installed as well as Riva billet lifter buckets and Riva valve stem seals.

Riva broke my engine in for me on their dyno and was able to provide me with a rec rider friendly map for my MoTeC igntion. With only 17 degrees of timing and 22 psi boost pressure the engine made 420 hp
To keep tabs on the engine and to easily be able to swap between high/low boost and low/high octane maps all on the fly I have my MoTeC dash and custom switch panel. BIG BIG thanks to both Nils and Motec Pete for helping me out with this. I couldn't have done it without these guys

The engine arrived from Riva today. It was crated extremely well

My 12 year old Greg insisted that we install it this afternoon

All this power is meaningless if you don't have a pump that can handle it. For this I chose the Rotax Racing 16 vane pump for Yamaha skis. This pump is incredible. It's by far the best out of anything I have tested thus far

Here's some pictures of the engine and turbo kit all installed into the hull

The ski is all together now. I just have some final tuning to do and I'm playing around with several sets of prototype billet camshafts. So far so good, but there is more left in it. I'd say it accelerates pretty good so far
I'll keep you guys updated as I make progress!
