2-Stroke SpaceMan's Spare Build : GP1300R 2007

I decided to purchase a second ski for friends and family to use, which is a 2007 GP1300R with 98hours.

Compression across all 3 cylinders is 120psi.

My goal is to keep it semi stock.

Whats a "T-dump" 3rd cylinder?

Look at the cooling/water pipe on the 3rd cylinder and you will see it is T and dumped to reduce pressure on the 3rd cylinder.

Oh I see... I thought that the 3rd cylinder only gets damaged based only on the oil injection pump failing ?

Does anyone have a review of it? Are you retaining the oil injection and using that to remedy? How are you sure the "T dump is helping anything?

Parts arrived to convert to premix (oil blockoff) and remove the catalytic converter (D plate).

Sponsons have been stepped, this is basically a holeshot and handling mod. The center bolt holes have been cut to allow the bolt to be centered.

The rideplate bolts snapped, previous owner/mechanic did not use anti-seize/locknut. So 3 of the 4 died. I couldn't be bothered replacing the brackets, so gave my local bolt fix guy a call. Took him 90mins to get them drilled out and recoiled.


The pump has been ground down to accommodate my modified R&D skegged rideplate, 20mins with an angle grinder.

Some updates....

Rideplate needs more washers under the front (nearest the pump).
The custom gauge cluster works wonders on this ski, so much so I want to replace the stock gauge cluster on my main ski with one.

Top speed is around 63mph. Cavitation is null, extended plate is causing drag. Nothing has been tuned or set.
