Is pump shoe sealed or not

Hey guys I brought my gp1300r second hand and was going to seal the pump shoe but it looks like it may already be done and just winding if someone can confirm by photos

Soz for kinda stupid question but I have never seen a gpr stock before so unsure if it is stock like that or not and Neva meet old owner so can't ask him either


Also there is about 3/8" gap between the pump shoe n ride plate is that ok (pump shoe is lower than ride plate)

It's not sealed, that is the transom you see that is sealed.
