  • Just picked up a 07 GP1300R

Just picked her up last night off a tip from another hulk member. Been looking on and off for a fuel injected ski to replace my GP1200R. Carbs are easy but I got sick of adjusting them every time I changed something. Meter says 190 hours. Compression is 115 psi all across. Has a Riva Stage 1 kit, d plate, and I don't know what else. I haven't really gone through it yet except for a wash and wax as well as swapping the plastic steering nozzle for a Riva. Ski starts right up. I hope to get it in the water tomorrow. Anything i should do to this ski? I plan to use it as a spare ski when some of my buddies who dont have skis want to come along. My 1200 will be for sale shortly.

Got it in the water and it runs pretty good. Got a cat temp light and saw no chip was installed so I just fixed that. It porpoises like crazy so I will have to shim the ride plate some. Taking it out again today.

I paid $4500 for it. I've been looking on and off for one for about 2 years and they are usually over 5 grand.

Great looking ski! I'd say drop a 1390 into it and blow away any stock 4 stroke on the water. But seriously, a few mods will easily get you close to 70...I'd suggest the same stuff you did to your 1200, minus the carb stuff obviously. I don't know too much about the EFI skis, but a good plate and grate are a must, as well as sealing the pump like on the 1200.

Thanks. It already has a Riva stage 1 I think. Looks like the ride plate, grate, and trim tabs are there. Not sure about the prop. I haven't really gone through the ski. I just want an extra ski to have as a backup and for my girl to ride whens he comes along. I don't plan to do too much to it, but then again I always say that.
