  • Carb plate broken

Hey all, wondering if anyone has a suggestion on a carb plate replacement of should I just jbweld it? One of the carbs broke off its mounts. My fault, but looking for a cheap fix without having to drown $300 into a plate.

    Thx

Do you have a picture of the break? I am curious how bad it is and if JB Weld is a good option. I have never had good luck with JB weld on anything.

Part book does Not show a xlt1200 for 1999, (could be blind)..Can't see breaking the aluminium mount, the 2003 ish and up had a black plastic isolator added for cat caused carb overheating...I used the bolt set from the earlier model and threw away my broken insulator.
Just the extra 1/2 inch room made it worth it.

Based on the diagram here, its part #45. I think they call it the Carburetor Mounting Plate.Click image for larger version
