Power valve bolts

Just got the new bolts for my power valves, olds ones were in rough shape, should they be thread locked and which one, blue or red?

I always use red loctite, the only bolts on the engine to get red loctite. Just remember to heat them with a torch before you try and loosen them. With red, they will not loosen up on you.
