Was gonna PM u but you’re too new to the forum.
This happened to me when I put my engine back in. Easy to mix up

The passages get gunked up, preventing fuel flow.
We used clear lines with oetiker clamps on all connections.

Thank you for the links and responses, I have already replaced the disks and oil lines. The tamper covers are still on the high and low speed screws, do the screws tend to move over time and cause the no start condition?

If you didn't fix or replace the oil lines, you need to
Also replace the fuel pump disks as well

These are all the mods that are needed to make the 1200R a safe, reliable machine.

Look in the 2 stroke stickies. He has jetting specs for the 1200R

Yes I used mikuni kits and I replaced the filters. What do you mean by oside specs?

When you rebuilt the carbs did you use Mikuni kits?
Did you clean the carb filters?
Did you rebuild to Oside specs?

    GP1200R Will not start

I have a 2001 Yamaha gp1200r wave runner that I have recently taking the carbs off and rebuilt them, after getting the carbs back on I was able to get it to start and idle by messing with the choke and throttle. The next day when I went to go to start it I could not get it to start. It will crank with no problem but never fire, the only way I can get it to fire is if I use some starting fluid and then it will briefly fire.
    - I have 110 compression in all three cylinders.
    - I have rechecked the carbs and pop off pressure.
    - I have used a second fuel source and have primed fuel through the carbs and out the return.
    - I have checked spark and have new spark plugs in.
The only thing I have not checked is the timing just because I am not quite sure on how to do that.
Working...
