I have a beginner question. I have a 01 GP1200R and when it's winter I keep it in my warehouse at work. I usually go out once a month and let it run for a minute not on the hose. Just turn the gas on, get it to start, immediately turn the gas off and let it die on its own once the carbs empty. It's about a minute.
Can I cause any harm on this letting it run that long without being on the hose? The cylinder head doesn't get very hot so I don't think I'm hurting anything. Like I can lay my hand in it and the exhaust. There's a bunch of stuff on the internet that says ÔÇ£15 seconds maxÔÇØ so I thought I'd check with y'all. Not trying to burn up a new motor.
