    Hey ButterBean did you put any sealant between cages and case, reed plate and cage? It didn't look like there was anything sealing the two on my 800 I'm just wondering.

        Interesting to me and somewhat related, even though it is the enemies technology. Rotax Rotary valves remove reed pedals and is in fact completely different than reed systems.

        There is a geared-to-the-crankshaft semi-circle disc that blocks the intake ports to the crankcase. You can imagine as it spins, it reveals the intake port for the intake stroke, then the disc blocks the port during the rest of the cycle.
