I have oem impeller on my -06 gpr. Top speed is now 68 mph (riva head??s, efi, vf3, r&d ride plate and intake, free flow, d-plate, ir-holeshot...)
How about holeshot if i install dynafly 14/20 or 14/22? maybe i buy keyway..

Hey Guys.... please offer some advice if you can. Here is my situation:
I have a '94 GTX and a '97 GTS..... I want to change the impellers to get the max amount of top speed out of them. They are both 3 seaters.... but very rarely have more than 1 person on them... and NEVER 3. The '94 GTX has a stock 15/21 on it. The '97 GTS a stock 11/22. Solas only offers 1 impeller for the '94, a 14/19. Will that increase overall top speed? Solas offers three different props for the '97 GTS, a 14/22, 14/19 and a 16/23. Which one of those would give me more top speed? And would it make since to swap either one of my stock impellers into the other ski and only buy one impeller? I'll take any advice I can get.

My '94 has a couple simple mods done to it... a K&N filter, a rotary valve, its getting bored .5mm over, intake grate and the muffler was shortened a couple of inches.

Probably... with those mods you should be able to turn a 14/22
Today my max RPM was 7100 with the 14/22, was not able to check speed...
        i do mis some holeshot...

Next winter i go the porting route so i keep the 14/22 on for now

i have a 03 GP1300R current mods are, riva rubber exhaust thing, D plate, Riva grate, R&D ride plate, Riva EFI. i have a 13/20 Riva prop. but also have a spare 13/19.... my friend has a bone stock 05 13R and he walks on me by 2 lengths, i cant figure it out .... from what i understand a 13/20 prop needs more power to spin it than the 13/19. would a flame arrestor be enough to get the 13/20 spinning for what its worth ? or do i need head work also? cause i dont plan on doing alot of hardcore engine mods. i just like basic bolt ons but id like to pull from his ski at least, i mean come on... all that work and nothing to show for it...

Hello, I would like to chime in ....... I just completed the install of the 4* keyway, Jim's milled 150 psi heads and got a Pet 2100x tach (Thanks WFO). My hole shot is the best it's ever been & the pull-away on mid range is eye watering .... how ever, my top end still wont crack 70 mph on my GPS. I have been playing with the JFK fuel tuning and just cant seem to get it diled in just right yet ... max RPM is only 7040. Everyone tells me my RPMs are still low and should be over 7200 + This is where I am stumped, any help to get the that elusive 180 RPMs & and crack that 70 mark. HELP

what kind of a prop do you have? intake grate? ride plate? those 3 things make very big difference in top end.

do a compression test. make sure your piston rings are good. if u have had Jim do your cylinder head you should be around 150psi and at 7200 RPM.

what do you guys recommend for a 03 XLT 1200.
it has D-plate, flame arrestors, fuel accel. delete.
I plan to put on a Pump seal kit, R&D intake grate on & probably use the stock ride plate. Not sure about the Hole Shot kit (horror stories of sinking, melted plastics, & little effect on the XLT's...?)
I ride in the bay/ocean. it's rarely flat. Right now it spins like crazy down low & dream-meter see's 59/60mph
compression is good, very low hr ski.

I see that the solas 13/19 or 12/18 are pretty popular.

Hey 04gtxsc, Hi John .. thanks for shout. I put my ski away this past week end. My question would be by going to a larger trailing edge ... like 14/22 or 14/24 would I not loose even more hole shot ... to gain Top end ?

Like i said I have a complete pump with a 14/24 in it and you can try it when you are ready to go. To be honest I did not notice a lack of holeshot with either prop. The one in it right now is a 14/22.

Gettng ready to put them away for the winter. On to hunting and riding quads.
