  • Yamaha SUV 1200 Problem

    Hello everybody

I have a problem in my 01 Yamaha SUV 1200 after I rebuild the carbs. When I run it outside the water on it trailer it run but the engine vibrate too much at idle. I take it today to the sea and it run but while I ride the jet ski it start bogging down and I start loss power then it shutoff. After 5 minutes I run it and its run again same issue. Then I take off my jet ski outside water and I flush it with fresh water its run and then I remove the spark plug to see if there is water inside cylinder there is nothing but I notice that no water coming out from the front cooling outlet nozzle only white smoke coming out from it.

Anyone know what is the problem???

    thank you

Running on the trailer means nothing. Did you use Genuine Mikuni parts? Did you check, clean, or replace the fuel filter? Did you clean the filters inside the carbs? Did you check the pop-off pressure? Did you change any springs, etc.?

Why did you rebuild the carbs in the first place?

It was having exactly same problem that's why I rebuild the carbs and also changed the fuel filter same time and I rebuild the carbs with Genuine Mikuni kit. Moreover, I change the needle with new one.

But still I have the same problem that I was have before rebuild the carbs + Too much vibrate engine at Idle.

      thank you

Have you already done a compression test? Sounds like it's been siezing up.

Yes, I change filter inside the carbs with new one that come in Mikuni carb rebuild kit after I clean the carbs with lacquer thinner .

No, I didn't check the compression.
