  • Riva Speedo Block off = junk

I bought a speedo block off kit from Riva. It doesn't match the ride plate at all. Talk about a forward facing step. I guess I'll work on my speedo sensor and see if I can clean it up a little.

Smooth box tape to the bottom of the rideplate under the holes. Fill in the holes with jb-weld. pull off the tape.

Call bubba at Riva. They have 2 different plates, one for the OEM and Riva 1300 plate which has the angle and one for their 2000-2002 plate which has the radius which most likely is the one that you have.

Their online catalog is screwed up. The one they list for 1200 fits 1300 and 1300 fits 1200. Been that way for several YEARS and they seem to be not interested in fixing it...

I talked with the salesman about that problem. He specifically told me I was getting the blockoff for the older plate. The people in shipping probably did just what you said Jay.

Rivas shipping costs are so high and they put everything in boxes that could go in envelopes it makes it not worth it to to send it back and ask for another. I think I'll try what Mark said.

          Thanks

Just wanted to warn any prospective speedo block off customers.

Riva is now selling Anchors for PWC's as well. I think they called it a power core.

If I order RIVA parts from my local dealer I don't pay a dime for shipping! It takes about 3-5 days longer but that's cool with me. If want to rush it, it cost less then RIVAs express shipping.

              Win, Win!!!

the cool people aren't buying from riva anymore. Youre not cool anymore!!!! Just Playin Scott - R&D needs to carry some of the stuff that Riva has the market share on. (Like bypass fittings and shit like that)

I threw it in the trash yesterday while cleaning the garage the stock GP1200 intake grate and the stock GP1200R intake grate went as well, Oh my TORRS throttle system from the Banshee made it there too.
