  • gp1300r i want to go faster.

Hi everybody I have a gp 1300r and i got some after market parts i happy with my result but i want ti hit the 72 everytime i run. I doing 71.3 to 71.5 please could anybody tell me what i need to do more mph.

I have this parts doing 71.5:

    Riva ride plate
    Riva intake grate
    Solas 14/20
    EFI
    D Plate
    Free flow

the easy way would be get your plate modded by Jims Performance. That would get you about 2-3mph.

strange how u can turn a 14/20 btw......

currently the free flow exhaust is also costing you 1.5mph and you don't really need it as you have not advanced the timing nor increased your head compression so all it adds is a nice sound but at the cost of 1.5mph top end.

    thats my 2 cents.

getting your head cut would probably be the cheapest and easiest way. Also if you ride on calm stuff a lot you might want to look into leo's pump wedge, and obviously modding the plate you have.

you need to cut that plate, add a keyway, and send jim your head to get milled. look at a jetworks kit too.

whats your rpms with that screw of yours?

On my '06 I once had the same mods as your ski but without the free flow.

It turned 7080rpm and ran 73mph on an 800 grate.

Put the sound suppression back on first. Then have your plate angled more. This should be the easiest mph for the price. Then later you can add VF3 reeds.

not sure the fuel controller would be doing you any favours unless you have higher comp and timing key and reeds.

I would concentrate on hull... ie: get the ride plate machined as suggested by others, and then, if you haven't already start playing with plate angle. (and put the sound supression back on)

                              5mph, in your dreams perhaps.

please only give advice if you know what you are talking about.

jims plate is a solid 2-3mph gain not 5.
