  • Triple Pipes Question

What happens if you don't run the jetworks valve on the pipes. Just curious, do you lose rpm or speed or is it just the bottom end? This is for the factory triple pipes. I see where they got the hose running off the pipe with a jetworks valve in between on each of them.

Seriously, there are different ways to run the water on the pipes. Guys, im packing for WF and this will take me a while to type up. Please call me, its alot easier. Thank you. 775-315-0222

speedwerx pipes make more power than factory pipes. they dont crack as often either. I didnt run valves on my factory pipes at all. I know most do but.... How much gain is there for the average rec rider?

well, its really not on a rec ski, its a full blown out race ski. Thats why I was asking. I hear it doesn't make a difference on a rec ski.

Was talking with Woody (KEV hahaha) and he said something about a main jet in one of the barbs thats taking in water, not sure where he was talking about, but does anyone know about a hard jet in the pipes?

Shoot. I jetted all my pipes with 180 mains. Now it is different from ski to ski. Just play around til you find out what is best for you. Also I chose to run the jw valves. This just didnt allow water to enter the waterbox until sbout 5000 rpms(that is what I set mine for). I also ran water injection, I ran one after the box which came on at about 4500 and the one before at about 6500. This Just allowed a bit more back pressure at high rpm. Give me a call if you need anymore info.

I've run pipes with and without JW valves. My Speedwerx pipes don't have them installed, but I will be putting them in next year. The waterbox fills up with water, and takes a second to clear out, after a no wake zone. The JW valves will prevent this. There won't really be a change on top end...unless the valves restrict water flow a little on top, which they really shouldn't.

yep... the barb that feeds water to the pipe. You can try different size jets to fine tune your ride.
