Pump Tunnel

What puts so much stress on the gpr's pump tunnel. Does installing a aftermarket intake grate put alot of stress on it.

the pump tunnel on a gpr is weak by design and we make it worse by shoving more water though it.

+1 the 2003 GPR pump tunnels were ticking time bombs and at some point you were sinking. Even with a stock prop and a after market intake grate its always good to reinforce that tunnel

NO watercraft was ever designed to go over 65mph... We are pushing the GPR over 100mph now... What do YOU think makes it "weak?"

There isn't a fast model of watercraft on the water that isn't dealing with an intake grate pulling out, or shoe breaking in half, or pump tunnel cracking, or pump viens blowing out.

We are pushing the limits... that is why we do the reinforcements, help each other out, and try to fix the so-called "weak spots."

The rxt seadoo is having problems with the pump tunnel cracking also do your self a favor and fix the pump tunnel first before any mods so you know your safe. Ron
