Hey Im fairly new to the forums been on here for awhile just searching and reading before i bought my ski. I finally bought a 2000 gpr stock except a riva 1200 intake grate and a solas prop (dont know the pitch). I have the motor out of the ski sent the cylindars off to get niksel'd when i got the ski it had a rebuilt motor i did the break in methods i found on here. when i was on my fourth tank in i was cruising WOT and it started to lose power then just died i towed it back to the dock and got it back to Kirky's and pulled the head off and the #3 piston was hitting the rave valve and it ate the entire skirt off the piston so we are in the process of rebuilding it again i figured while it was apart and the weather isnt the best i may as well start throwing some things on it and this is the list i have came up with so far any suggestions or in what order to go about them will be greatley appreciated!

3 Degree Timing Key (since the motor is already out)
GPR PUMP SHOE HEAVY DUTY BRACKET KIT
    Pump Tunnel Reenforcement
    HEAVY DUTY TUNNEL HOSE KIT
    Pump Plug Kit
    Jims "FF" Plate
    D Plate
    Sensor Chip
    LEO'S HOLESHOT KIT
ISLAND RACING HOLESHOT STEALTH MOD KIT (Fercho's Mod)
    Flame Arrestor Kit
Rejet The Carbs (Oside? or Jim?)
    Jims proformance milled head

I was thinkin in that order but like i said any suggestions will be great and if anyone has any of these parts used that would be even better!

i have no experence with the keyway, but from what i understand its not highly recommended for 1200's because of the extra heat it creates. people have put them in 1200's but its more of a 1300 mod. the pros will weigh in shortly

I wouldn't do the keyway on the 1200 from what I've read. One thing to add to the list is reeds. Maybe delete the oil injection as well.

look out for a used advent instead of the keyway, they come up second had time to time and you can feel the hit over standard ecu, look for one with curve 94..
            It's not fun, its R&D

Out of everything i have read, the most important item to make that ski go FAST is the great guys here on Greenhulk, use the search feature, read all you csn find... and ask questions as you go... i recommend doing the mods in steps that make the sense (grate ppk and impeller) so that you can see your progress or if something doesnt give close to the expected results, where is the mistake....

Hello chucktowngpr, If you are sending the cylinders to get renik and buying pistons. It will not cost much more to get 1300 pistons and get it bored and renik to 84 MM.

I was thinking about that. But Kirky from here on the forums (who i bought my ski from) has another 1200 motor that is on the way that we are going to put in it for now. How much could i sell my 1200 cylinders and pistons for and pick up 1300's? One more question for you Jim is how much would it cost to get my stock wear ring bored out to put the plastic insert into it?
