  • Should I run BOV if so Which Valve? 2009 & 2012 FZR

With all the supercharger clutch related failures, my question is/does the BOV help allieviate some of the failures? Is the BOV a wise investment?
Are the clutch failures more common in ski's that have been modified to run higher RPM's.
Will the BOV help preserve the clutch on stock units?
Are most of the tunners running BOV or just updating to 2013 clutches/sprags? I.E avoiding or eleminating the potential for boost leaks?

If the BOV is a must have which is prefered?

    Thanks

Yes the BOV is a very wise investment! If you are not planning on upgrading your intercooler I think the Riva HKS kit is a great option. Once you start upping the boost a bunch (ie. 15+ lbs of boost) it may be beneficial to run a larger TIAL BOV. I think the best plan is to upgrade the 13' clutch/idler AND run a BOV!
Been there... done that... currently got nothin...

Try a Watson Racing BOV. They Work well and sound great.
      Alot louder than the HKS.

he would wait forever for it shipping from there to US, and would raise the price considerably

I run the Riva HKS BOV kit and I like it, no complaints. I did not tap the manifold though, I used that multi pressure port adapter R&D sell.
