I think Ill just do this modification with the drilling and tapping for 2 screws, maybe 3. Looks good and intact there.

Furthermore, putting that set screw could not cause any other component of the supercharger to fail. It prevents it from failing.
I have posted some notes for installing a retaining screw into my GP1800 SVHO supercharger.

Is there a gasket between the housing parts that needs to be replaced when putting it back together after installing new shaft?

The supercharger front housing? Apply blue Loc-tite to bolts. Torque bolts to 14 ftlb

    haha beat me to it.

only thing I will say in addition to is that the fuel rail isn't 100% necessary. stock will work. you just need to make 3 spacers that go under the mounting screws for the rail. if you rather not do that then their fuel rail will be required.

I just went back and forth with jerry and jesus from riva on this since I am doing the same thing. any way you look at it, if you bump up the psi with a new wheel then you need more fuel. if your using the maptuner then jesus writes the tunes for 100lb injectors so you need those. no fuel psi regulator is needed. with stock fuel pressure the stock injectors are maxed out with the f1 wheel which is why you need the bigger injectors with those tunes. now I have heard from other members here that dean writes his tunes for higher fuel psi in which case stock injectors can be used but you need a rrfpr.

Yes! You have to run the 1000cc injectors, billet fuel rail so you can install those injectors, or make spacers for your stock fuel rail. Then just load up the MaptunerX stage 3 tune

So the issue really is how high of RPM does your engine turn (over 8K), and how often do you allow your engine to over rev thus bouncing off the rev limiter. As I see it, the stage one plus (what I have done) raises the constant RPM limit to 8100 with an over rev to 8400 (if I recall correctly). As I read the information available, the S/C issues seem to crop up on men that are really pushing their heavily tuned machines hard in the ocean jumping waves etc.
In my particular case, I have only done the power filter (intake) and the stage one plus re-flash. My expectation is that, at 250 MSL, I'll see just over 8K RPM, and very close to 80 MPH (GPS). I'll be taking my 2.8 hour GP to the lake later this week and will report back. I mention this because at 80 MPH I happy and do not want to add additional items (impeller, ribbon, addt'l cooling, exhaust, etc.). I am basing my thoughts to upgrading my ski mostly on what I have seen via the excellent videos created by PWC Muscle. All opinions welcomed...

So what this tells me is that when or If I ever want my GP to go faster I must : pin the Super Charger, Maptuner-X, then do the shaft upgrade kit for a total cost of 1434.91 at the G.H store.
69 to 79 mph or 10 mph for 1434.91.... this is much more reasonable and easy compared to the ski's from just a few years ago.
